The IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph is one of the brand's most technically accomplished pilot's watches. Introduced during the 1990s, it features a split-seconds chronograph (Doppelchronograph), allowing two elapsed times to be measured simultaneously. An additional pusher at 10 o'clock stops one chronograph seconds hand while the other continues running, before instantly reuniting them with a second press—an ingenious complication prized by collectors.
This IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph Ref. 3713 is housed in a 42mm stainless steel case and features a matte black dial with luminous hour markers, a day-date display and sapphire crystal. Rated to 60 metres of water resistance, the watch is distinguished by its additional pusher at 10 o'clock.
Powering the watch is the IWC calibre 79230 automatic movement, based on the renowned Valjoux 7750 and enhanced with IWC's split-seconds chronograph module, offering an approximately 44-hour power reserve. Presented in good condition, with superficial signs of wear consistent with careful use. Offered as a full set with box and card. Circa 1999. As with all vintage timepieces, we do not recommend wearing this watch in or around water, regardless of its original water resistance rating. Covered by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.
