The Rolex Submariner has been an icon of luxury sports watchmaking since its introduction in 1953, celebrated for its exceptional durability, timeless design and enduring collector appeal. The two-tone Ref. 16613 offers a distinctive interpretation of this legendary dive watch, combining the strength of stainless steel with the warmth of 18ct yellow gold. Particularly admired for its vibrant blue dial and classic pre-ceramic proportions, this configuration has become a firm favourite among collectors seeking a vintage-inspired Submariner with a touch of luxury.

This Rolex Submariner Date Ref. 16613 features a classic 40mm Oyster case crafted from stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold, complemented by a unidirectional rotating bezel with a blue aluminium insert. Its striking gloss blue dial features applied luminous hour markers, gold hands and the signature date display at 3 o’clock, enhanced by Rolex’s Cyclops magnifier. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the two-tone Oyster bracelet completes its unmistakable appearance. The combination of rich blue and yellow gold creates one of the most recognisable and desirable colour combinations in the Submariner collection.

Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3135 automatic movement, offering an approximately 48-hour power reserve. Offered with box and papers, circa 2003. • New Old Stock (NOS)
  An unworn watch from an earlier production period. Minor storage or handling marks may be present.
• Mint
  An exceptional pre-owned example presenting in near-new condition, with no visible wear.
• Excellent
  A very well-preserved watch showing only light signs of careful use.
• Very Good
  A well-presented watch showing normal signs of use, including minor scratches or surface wear.
• Good
  A watch showing more noticeable signs of regular use and age, while remaining presentable.

Vintage watches
Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
