Rolex GMT Master II 16710 "Coke" (1998)

The Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 16710 is an icon of the brand’s professional collection, with the red and black “Coke” bezel among its most recognisable and sought-after configurations. Produced during the celebrated five-digit era, the Coke remains particularly desirable among collectors for its classic proportions, aluminium bezel and unmistakable GMT aesthetic.

This example features a 40mm Oystersteel case with a black dial, applied 18ct white gold hour markers and red GMT hand. Its bidirectional 24-hour bezel carries the signature red and black aluminium insert, allowing multiple time zones to be tracked, while a sapphire crystal and Oyster bracelet complete the classic sports Rolex design. Water resistance was originally rated to 100 metres.

Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3185 automatic GMT movement, offering an approximately 50-hour power reserve. Offered as a full set with box and card. Circa 1998. As with all vintage timepieces, we do not recommend wearing this watch in or around water, regardless of its original water resistance rating. Covered by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.

  Brand-new and unworn, supplied by J. Farren Price as an authorised dealer with the applicable manufacturer warranty.
• New Old Stock (NOS)
  An unworn watch from an earlier production period. Minor storage or handling marks may be present.
• Mint
  An exceptional pre-owned example presenting in near-new condition, with no visible wear.
• Excellent
  A very well-preserved watch showing only light signs of careful use.
• Very Good
  A well-presented watch showing normal signs of use, including minor scratches or surface wear.
• Good
  A watch showing more noticeable signs of regular use and age, while remaining presentable.

Vintage watches
Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
