Rolex Explorer II - Black Dial (2023)

Introduced in 1971, the Rolex Explorer II was developed for explorers working in environments where distinguishing day from night could prove difficult. Its fixed 24-hour bezel and additional hand remain defining features of this purpose-built professional Rolex.

Presented in Oystersteel, this Rolex Explorer II Ref. 226570 features a 42mm Oyster case with a black dial, applied Chromalight hour markers and distinctive orange 24-hour hand. The fixed 24-hour bezel enables the wearer to track a second time zone, while a sapphire crystal, Oyster bracelet and 100 metres of water resistance complete its robust construction.

Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3285 automatic movement, featuring the Chronergy escapement and offering an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Presented in excellent condition. Offered with box, card and white tag. Circa 2023. Covered by the balance of the Rolex manufacturer warranty.

Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
