Rolex Explorer 36 114270 (2006)

The Rolex Explorer traces its origins to the early 1950s and the pioneering expeditions that helped establish Rolex's reputation for robust, highly legible tool watches. Produced from 2001, the Ref. 114270 retains the traditional 36mm proportions that defined the Explorer for generations, giving it strong appeal among collectors seeking the model's classic dimensions.

Crafted from Oystersteel, this Rolex Explorer Ref. 114270 features a 36mm Oyster case with a smooth domed bezel and gloss black dial, distinguished by luminous hour markers and the collection's signature 3, 6 and 9 Arabic numerals. A sapphire crystal and Oyster bracelet complete its understated, purpose-built design, while water resistance was originally rated to 100 metres.

Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3130 automatic movement, a COSC-certified chronometer calibre offering an approximately 48-hour power reserve. Offered with box and papers. Circa 2006. Covered by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.

  Brand-new and unworn, supplied by J. Farren Price as an authorised dealer with the applicable manufacturer warranty.
• New Old Stock (NOS)
  An unworn watch from an earlier production period. Minor storage or handling marks may be present.
• Mint
  An exceptional pre-owned example presenting in near-new condition, with no visible wear.
• Excellent
  A very well-preserved watch showing only light signs of careful use.
• Very Good
  A well-presented watch showing normal signs of use, including minor scratches or surface wear.
• Good
  A watch showing more noticeable signs of regular use and age, while remaining presentable.

Vintage watches
Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
