The Rolex Explorer is one of the purest expressions of the Oyster Perpetual philosophy, born from Rolex’s involvement in the great Himalayan expeditions of the 1950s and forever associated with adventure, exploration, and legibility in extreme conditions. The modern Ref. 124273 brings a luxurious twist to this legendary tool watch, combining the Explorer’s rugged heritage with the warmth of 18ct Yellow Gold.
Crafted from Oystersteel and 18ct Yellow Gold, this 36mm Explorer features the collection’s iconic black dial with the signature 3-6-9 Arabic numeral layout and Chromalight luminescent markers for exceptional legibility in all conditions. Protected by a sapphire crystal and offering 100 metres of water resistance, the watch is fitted to the classic Oyster bracelet in steel and gold, creating a perfect balance between sporting capability and refined elegance.
Powered by the Rolex calibre 3230 automatic movement, this state-of-the-art in-house chronometer incorporates the Chronergy escapement and delivers outstanding precision, reliability, and an impressive 70-hour power reserve. Offered as a full set. Circa 2021. Covered by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.
