Produced until 2016, it also represents the final generation of stainless steel Daytonas to feature the traditional engraved steel tachymeter bezel before the introduction of ceramic. This Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116520 features a beautifully proportioned 40mm Oystersteel case with a striking black dial, applied luminous baton hour markers and contrasting polished chronograph registers. Its fixed stainless steel bezel features an engraved tachymeter scale, allowing the wearer to calculate average speeds over a measured distance, a defining feature of the Daytona’s racing heritage. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the stainless steel Oyster bracelet complements the watch’s refined sporting character. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, making this an exceptionally versatile luxury chronograph that transitions effortlessly from everyday wear to more formal occasions.
