Introduced in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date quickly established itself as one of the maison's most prestigious timepieces, becoming the first wristwatch to display both the date and the day of the week written in full. Exclusively produced in precious metals and paired with the iconic President bracelet, the collection has become synonymous with status and refinement. This celebrated olive green dial was introduced in 2016 to mark the Day-Date's 60th anniversary, combining Rolex's signature colour with the warmth of Everose Gold.
This Rolex Day-Date 40 Ref. 228235 is crafted entirely from 18ct Everose Gold and features the highly sought-after olive green dial with applied Roman numeral hour markers. The 40mm Oyster case is framed by Rolex's signature fluted bezel and protected by a sapphire crystal, while the 18ct Everose Gold President bracelet with concealed Crownclasp completes its unmistakable aesthetic. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3255 automatic movement, featuring the Chronergy escapement and offering an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Presented in unworn condition with some original stickers. Offeredas a full set with box, card and tags. Circa 2023. Covered by the balance of the Rolex manufacturer warranty.
