Introduced in 1945, the Rolex Datejust remains one of the brand’s most established collections. The Ref. 16233 represents a classic Yellow Rolesor configuration, combining stainless steel with 18ct yellow gold. Its traditional 36mm proportions and white Roman numeral dial reflect the enduring design of the Datejust.

Case & Details

This Datejust features a 36mm stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold Oyster case with a matching yellow gold fluted bezel. Its white dial features applied Roman numeral hour markers and a date display at 3 o’clock, enhanced by Rolex’s Cyclops magnifier. A sapphire crystal and two-tone Jubilee bracelet complete the design.

Movement & Provenance

Powered by the Rolex calibre 3135 automatic movement, a COSC-certified chronometer offering an approximately 48-hour power reserve. Presented in excellent condition and offered with box and papers, circa 1999. As with all vintage timepieces, we do not recommend wearing this watch in or around water, regardless of its original water resistance rating. For complete peace of mind, this timepiece is accompanied by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.

  A very well-preserved watch showing only light signs of careful use.
• Very Good
  A well-presented watch showing normal signs of use, including minor scratches or surface wear.
• Good
  A watch showing more noticeable signs of regular use and age, while remaining presentable.

Vintage watches
Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
