The Rolex Datejust has remained one of the maison's defining collections since its introduction in 1945, celebrated for its timeless proportions and signature date display. The Ref. 16233 is a quintessential example of the classic two-tone Datejust, pairing stainless steel with 18ct yellow gold in one of Rolex's most enduring configurations.
This Rolex Datejust 36 Ref. 16233 features a 36mm Oyster case framed by Rolex's signature fluted bezel in 18ct yellow gold. Its champagne dial features applied baton hour markers and a date display at 3 o'clock beneath the characteristic Cyclops lens. A Jubilee bracelet in stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold completes its unmistakable aesthetic.
Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3135 automatic movement, one of the brand's most respected chronometer calibres, offering an approximately 48-hour power reserve. Presented in excellent condition, particularly impressive for a timepiece of this age. Offered with box and papers. Circa 1990.
