The Longines La Grande Classique embodies the maison’s longstanding tradition of elegant Swiss watchmaking, favouring a refined profile and restrained styling over overt complexity. This circa 2000 example offers particularly versatile 36mm proportions, combining classic dress-watch character with the appeal of a mechanical automatic movement.
This Ref. LA7082 features a yellow gold-plated 36mm case with a champagne dial and slender baton hour markers, creating a cohesive tonal aesthetic characteristic of the period. A sapphire crystal provides added everyday practicality, while the matching gold-plated bracelet with butterfly clasp gives the watch an elegant, integrated appearance on the wrist.
Powering the watch is the Longines calibre L593 automatic movement, offering an approximately 40-hour power reserve. Presented in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear and offered in watch-only configuration. Circa 2000. For complete peace of mind, this timepiece is accompanied by our 24 month J. Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
