Founded in 1845 by François Czapek, Czapek & Cie was one of the great names of nineteenth-century Swiss watchmaking before being successfully revived in the modern era as an independent haute horlogerie manufacturer. Today, the brand is celebrated for its exceptional finishing, limited production, and some of the most desirable luxury sports watches on the market.
The Antarctique Passage de Drake has quickly become the flagship of the modern Czapek collection, admired by collectors for its beautifully integrated design and outstanding movement architecture. This example features the stunning "Glacier Blue" dial, characterised by its distinctive textured surface, applied hour markers, and date display, creating a striking interplay of light and depth.
Housed in a beautifully finished 40.5mm stainless steel case and protected by a sapphire crystal, the watch offers 120 metres of water resistance and is accompanied by both a brand new stainless steel bracelet and a brand new blue rubber strap, providing exceptional versatility. Powering the watch is the exceptional in-house Czapek calibre SXH5 automatic movement, renowned for its micro-rotor architecture, technical sophistication, and exquisite finishing visible through the exhibition caseback. Offered as a full set with its original box and papers. Circa 2023. Covered by our 24 month J. Farren Price warranty.
