Heritage & Design
The Cartier Santos-Dumont traces its origins to 1904, when Louis Cartier created a wristwatch for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Recognised for its rectangular case, exposed bezel screws and slim proportions, the collection retains many elements of the early design. The Small Model offers a compact interpretation of this historic Cartier wristwatch.
Case & Details
This Santos-Dumont Ref. WSSA0086 features a case measuring 38mm x 27.5mm, fitted with a sapphire crystal. Its distinctive dial features blued steel sword-shaped hands, complemented by a blue sapphire cabochon set into the crown. The deep blue genuine Cartier leather strap, manufactured in France, matches these details and completes the watch's classic appearance. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres.

Condition is assessed in the context of the watch's age. Natural patina and period-appropriate ageing may be present and do not necessarily detract from its grade.
