The Rolex Sea-Dweller was developed in the late 1960s in partnership with professional deep-sea divers who required a watch capable of withstanding extreme underwater pressures. Distinguished from the Submariner by its greater depth rating and helium escape valve, the Sea-Dweller has become one of Rolex’s most respected professional tool watches and a favourite among collectors.
This Ref. 116600 features a black dial with luminous hour markers and hands, paired with a unidirectional bezel fitted with a black Cerachrom insert for exceptional durability and legibility. The 40mm Oyster case is protected by a sapphire crystal and offers an impressive 1,220 metres of water resistance.
