The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller "James Cameron" celebrates filmmaker and explorer James Cameron's historic 2012 solo descent to the Mariana Trench. Its distinctive D-Blue dial transitions from blue to black, symbolising the journey from the ocean's surface into the darkness of the deep. Engineered for extreme underwater exploration, the Deepsea represents one of the most technically capable professional dive watches in the Rolex collection.
Presented in Oystersteel, this Rolex Deepsea Ref. 136660 features the iconic D-Blue dial with applied luminous hour markers, framed by a black Cerachrom unidirectional dive bezel. The substantial 44mm Oyster case incorporates Rolex's Ringlock System, helium escape valve and sapphire crystal, providing an exceptional water resistance rating of 3,900 metres. A robust Oyster bracelet with Glidelock extension system completes its professional dive watch construction.
Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3235 automatic movement, featuring the Chronergy escapement and offering an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Presented in excellent condition. Offered as a full set with box and papers. Circa 2024. Covered by the balance of the Rolex manufacturer warranty.
