The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch remains one of the most historically significant chronographs ever produced, forever associated with NASA's Apollo missions and the first Moon landing in 1969. This modern "Sapphire Sandwich" version preserves the unmistakable Moonwatch design while adding sapphire crystals to both the front and caseback.
This Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional Ref. 310.30.42.50.01.002 features a 42mm stainless steel case with a black stepped chronograph dial, white hour markers and signature three-register layout. A black anodised aluminium bezel carries the famous tachymeter scale, while the sapphire display caseback provides a clear view of the movement within. The watch is fitted to a stainless steel bracelet and water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
Powering the watch is the manual-winding Omega calibre 3861 Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement, METAS-certified and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, offering an approximately 50-hour power reserve.
